2Ξενοφάντου Λαμπτρεὺς ἐγραμμάτευεν· Ποσιδεῶνος ἐμβολίμου ἑν̣δεκά–
3τει, ἐνάτει καὶ εἰκοστεῖ τῆς πρυτανείας· βουλὴ ἐμ βουλευτηρίωι σύνκλητος

10μὲν ἀγαθὰ δέχεσθαι τὰ γεγονότα ἐν τοῖς ἱεροῖς, οἷς ἔθυον ἐφ᾽ ὑγιείαι καὶ σωτη–

13λοτίμως, ἐπεμελήθησαν δὲ καὶ τῆς συλλογῆς τῆς τε βουλῆς καὶ τοῦ δήμου
14καὶ τῶν ἄλλων ἁπάντων, ὧν αὐτοῖς προσέταττον οἵ τε νόμοι καὶ τὰ ψηφίσμα–
15τα το̣ῦ δήμου· ἐπαινέσαι τοὺς πρυτάνεις τῆς Λεωντίδος καὶ στεφανῶσαι χρυ–
16σῶι στεφάνωι κα̣τὰ τὸν νόμον εὐσεβείας ἕνεκεν τῆς πρὸς τοὺς θεοὺς καὶ φιλο–

1Unter dem Archon Hippias; die Leontis hatte die sechste Prytanie inne, für die Theodosios
2S.d. Xenophantos aus dem Demos LamptraiI Sekretär war; im Schaltmonat Posideon am elften,
3dem neunundzwanzigsten (Tag) der Prytanie; Ratsversammlung im Buleuterion, einberufen
4auf Anordnung der Generäle, und nach der Ratsversammlung Haupt-Volksversammlung in dem Theater;
5von den Vorsitzenden leitete die Abstimmung Ameinias S.d. Xanthos aus dem Demos Marathon und seine Mitvorsitzenden.
6Beschluss des Volkes; Lakrates S.d. Mentor aus dem Demos Perithoidai stellte den Antrag: Worüber Bericht
7erstatten die Prytanen der Leontis, nämlich über die Opfer, die sie opferten vor den
8Volksversammlungen dem Apollon Prostaterios und der Artemis Boulaia
9und den anderen Göttern, denen es traditionell Brauch war, zu Glück und Heil!, wolle beschließen das Volk:
10dass man das Gute billige, das geschehen ist bei den Opfern, die sie opferten für das Heil und die Rettung
11des Rates und des Volkes und der Bundesgenossen; – Da aber die Prytanen
12geopfert haben alle die Opfer, zu denen sie in der Prytanie verpflichtet waren, in guter und
13ehrgeiziger Weise; sie auch Sorge getragen haben für das Zusammentreten des Rates und der Volksversammlung
14und für alles andere, was ihnen die Gesetze vorschrieben und die Beschlüsse
15des Volkes: dass man belobige die Prytanen der Leontis und bekränze mit goldenem
16Kranz gemäß dem Gesetz wegen ihrer Frömmigkeit gegenüber den Göttern und ihres
17Ehrgeizes für den Rat und das Volk der Athener; dass diesen Beschluss
18der Sekretär, der während der Prytanie amtiert, aufzeichne auf eine steinerne Stele und
19aufstelle in dem Prytanikon; - - -

1In the archonship of Hippias (181/0), in the sixth prytany, of Leontis, for which Theodosios
2son of Xenophantos of LamptraiI was secretary. On the eleventh of intercalated Posideon,
3the twenty-ninth of the prytany. Council in the Council chamber convened at the instigation
4of the generals and, resulting from the Council, principal Assembly in the theatre.
5Of the presiding committee Ameinias son of Xanthos of Marathon was putting to the vote, and his fellow presiding committee members.
6The People decided. Lakrates son of Mentor of Perithoidai proposed: concerning what
7the prytany of Leontis reports about the sacrifices which they made before the
8Assemblies to Apollo Prostaterios and to Artemis Boulaia
9and to the other gods for whom it is customary, for good fortune, the People shall decide to
10welcome the good results that have occurred in the sacrifices which they made for the health and
11preservation of the Council, the People and the allies; and, since the prytany
12has made all the sacrifices which are proper in the prytany well and with
13love of honour and also has taken care of the convening of the Council and the People
14and of everything else which the laws and the decrees of the People prescribe for them,
15to praise the prytany of Leontis and to crown them with a gold crown
16according to the law, for their piety towards the gods and their love of
17honour towards the Council and the People of the Athenians; and the prytany
18secretary shall inscribe this decree on a stone stele and stand
